Working with the defacto desktop standard

A PDF (Adobe's Portable Document Format) file is like a reliable 'digital master' - you can capture the look and feel of a document, including fonts, graphics, layout and formatting, and it is platform and application independent. Because PDF files can be shared, viewed and printed by anyone with the free Adobe Reader software, it has become a defacto standard on the desktop.
