UGSoft - ES-Backup

Data backup for EtherShare servers: UGSoft (Uwe Gohlke Software) focuses on software development and technical support for Macintosh, UNIX and Linux based systems. ES-Backup (Amber among Backup Software) data backup for Sun Solaris, Linux and Mac OS X makes it easy to backup and restore files from your EtherShare server from any Macintosh in the network.

You just need to start the ES-Backup Admin client application on the Macintosh, drag and drop the files or folders to be backed up to the ES-Backup Admin window and press a button - data backup is already underway.

ES-Backup Supported Devices

Nearly all tape drives and tape changers available in the market can be used without any problems with ES-Backup.

In order to make it easier for customers to choose an appropriate backup device and to provide more safety, UGSoft frequently tests new backup devices and certifies them for use with ES-Backup.

    Comments:
    All tape libraries and autoloaders which allow random access to the tape slots and do conform to the SCSI-2 command set should work with ES-Backup.

ShowProfile - is a Mac OS X application which outputs detailed tagging and ICC-Profile information from image files. ShowProfile allows you to to tag, untag and extract ICC-Profile from/to images files, either by value or by HELIOS reference. If you need to check whether image files received from external sources contain ICC-Profile information, need to make sure that profiles tagged by reference are available on your HELIOS ImageServer before the final printout starts or you want to produce better output quality by tagging or untagging ICC-Profiles, then ShowProfile is the right tool for you.
