Heymann's CGM Thumbnail Generator for Cumulus

Heymann's new extension for Cumulus 7.5 creates thumbnails for assets of file type CGM for the Canto Cumulus Client under Windows.

Computer Graphics Metafile (CGM) is a file format for 2D vector graphics, raster graphics, and text and is very popular in the industry for technical illustration and documentation.

The CGM Thumbnail Generator is an extension to the Canto Cumulus Workgroup or Enterprise Client 7.5 or higher based on the Canto EJaP (Embedded Java Plugins) technology. It creates thumbnails of preview size (max 1024 x 1024 pixel) for assets of type CGM (Suffix '.cgm').

Dynagram releases DynaStrip 5.2

What's new?

1. Barcodes: DynaStrip 5.2 now supports different barcode standards for integration with post-press equipment. When gathering the product, an optical reader scans barcodes to verify if signatures are missing or misplaced in the publication. The application is able to print barcodes in the following formats: PDF, PS, EPS, PJTF and JDF.
2. New Option for Page Marks: A new option in the Pagination Sequence dialogue allows the page marks and page outline to follow the creep compensation adjustment or to remain static.
3. Automatic Color Addition: A new option (Add all colors automatically to the color table) has been added to the Preferences dialogue to allow a complete automation of the insertion of source documents in DynaStrip. When this option is selected, all detected colors are automatically added to the color table without warning the user. This option is especially useful for DynaStream automation module.
4. Enhancements to DynaStrip Automation: The DynaStream module (that is part of DynaStrip Automation edition) has been improved to increase its automation level. New options now allow for automated deleting or moving input source document files to another location once the job has been processed and all flats are output.
