DynaStrip new releases: 5.1 and JDF Import

Dynagram releases a new edition of the DynaStrip family of imposition solutions: v5.1 and DynaStrip JDF Import

DynaStrip 5.1: this release now supports long file names on Macintosh and Windows, in addition to correcting some minor issues.

DynaStrip 5.1.1: this update fixes some issues that were found in DynaStrip 5.1.0: # Imported Marks * 3018 Imported marks are automatically updated at output to use new application filters.
* 2996 The path of the imported marks images is now retained if the image files are not found when opening the job.
* 3049 The raster preview of EPS imported marks has been fixed.
# Output * 3027 The printing function when using "Printer" destination has been fixed.
# Special Characters (Macintosh only) * 3024 A problem with special characters when using the Save As function has been fixed.
* 3065 A problem when using an imported mark defined with special characters in a previous version of DynaStrip has been fixed.

DynaStrip JDF Import edition is dedicated to printers equipped with an MIS system and looking for overall JDF connectivity. This advanced JDF input capability is offered as an addition to the existing output module that is well known from DynaStrip customers who already send JDF imposition files to their JDF-enable RIP or workflow system. The new DynaStrip JDF Import edition now allows these printers to experience end to end JDF integration between processes.

Many types of JDF workflow scenarios are now supported when importing data from a JDF file, based on a structured analysis of processes and resources described in the file. DynaStrip JDF Import is compliant with CIP4 MIS to Prepress (MISPRE) Interoperability Conformance Specification (ICS).

HELIOS - Updates and TechInfos

The following updates are available for UB+ customers. Most of them introduce new enhancements for UB+ customers with service agreements. Please always make sure you have installed all current updates. The HELIOS Update Installer makes it very easy to download, install, or remove updates.

Technical Hints and Tips - Cumulus Installer Problem

Problem with Windows Cumulus installer:
The Internet Client Pro /Web Publisher Pro /CJC Scheduler/CJC/CJR installer stops with the following error on Windows with installed new Java 1.6.0_04 (Java 6u4):
java.lang.NumberFormatException: For input string: "0-b19"

Workaround:
a) Open a command shell, go to the directory where the installer is located and start the installer in command line mode: -i console
b) You could also downgrade Java to an earlier version!
