Canto Cumulus Software Maintenance - Customer Care Centre

DataBasics is committed to the ongoing support and maintenance of our many Cumulus customers and accordingly we are keen to promote our Customer Care Centre, developed specifically for Cumulus Workgroup and Enterprise users with Software Maintenance.

Software Maintenance is the program introduced by Canto during 2005 to more effectively manage ongoing support - it replaces the Upgrade Advantage Program (UAP) for Cumulus. Valid for 12 months from date of purchase, it includes all upgrades and new releases to the software plus technical support via email.

DataBasics Customer Care Centre is a web-based tracking system maintained by our technical experts who are Canto Cumulus Certified System Integrators (CCSI). Queries and issues are sent to DataBasics support staff who attempt to resolve or answer the query first before entering it in the Customer Care Centre for more technical attention.

Once queries have been logged into the system, Customer Care staff liaise directly with the customer until the query is resolved. If it is an issue for Canto, DataBasics will forward it to Canto technical staff. Most queries are resolved swiftly though if difficult issues arise that need to be forwarded to Canto for resolution it may affect response times.

Software Maintenance customers can utilise the Customer Care Centre for questions about Cumulus by emailing support@databasics.com.au with the following information:

* Software Maintenance contract number eg SM_621212_00
* server operating system
* Cumulus edition and version
* number of Clients and any additional Options
* brief description of the problem including screenshots or error messages
* efforts to resolve issue.

There is no charge for this service for Cumulus customers with Software Maintenance.

Customer Care Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Our Customer Care Centre has been operating for over 12 months now and contains a wealth of technical and general information about Cumulus.

Some of the typical queries we have answered are:
- How do I extract keywords or metadata from PDFs and other documents?
- How can I back up my User Settings and create a new Catalogue with my settings?
- Why is the Create Slide Show option greyed out?
- and much more!

This is a free service for anyone interested or using Cumulus - no login is required to search the database which uses Cumulus and Internet Client Pro to store, search and retrieve the FAQs.

DataBasics Cumulus OnSite Installation & Training Services

Along with DataBasics commitment to providing support for our Cumulus customers, we have also developed specialised Onsite Installation and Training courses. These are especially recommended to educate new Cumulus users and for Cumulus users upgrading from earlier versions of Cumulus to get up to speed with new functions and facilities.

The Courses are conducted by Canto Cumulus Certified System Administrators who also have training experience. Cumulus Administrators should contact DataBasics to discuss their training requirements. DataBasics is flexible in providing for customer needs and courses may be combined to suit customer requirements. Cumulus 6 Training CD

The Cumulus 6 Computer Based Training CD has been available from DataBasics for some time now and many of our customers have used it to introduce Cumulus successfully into their workplace.

Why waste hours wading through text books when you can become an expert in no time at all with an accelerated learning CD. The Cumulus Training CD also doubles as a reference guide for options, tricky search criteria and preference setups. Total running time is just over 2 hours. It covers:

* Additional Features.

The Training CD complements the Onsite Administration and User Training products developed by DataBasics and is available as a separate purchase or FREE with any purchase of Cumulus 6.6.

Design College Australia - DAM Course with Cumulus

The Design College Australia has commenced a formal Short Course for 2006 in Digital Asset Management using Cumulus.

Design College Australia was founded in 1989. Since its inception, it has been highly regarded by the design and advertising industry.

The college has become one of Australia's elite private design institution's by delivering 'hands on' industry based training to small capped classes - resulting in one of the highest student to tutor ratios anywhere. All of the lecturers are industry active and specialists in their fields, servicing clients through the in-house design studio and/or their own design practice.

The courses have been structured to develop the creative as well as the technical skills of employable graduates. Design College students have consistently been successful in industry awards for many years - having multiple finalist and winners in both student and professional categories.
