Audio/Video iKit

The AV iKit for DeBabelizer and MediaRich products unleashes the power and flexibility of Quicktime / Windows Media for both Windows and Mac OS X functionality and enables the following capabilities in DeBabelizer Server.

• Offload and distribute your media processing - Distributed batch processing of most file formats for both Mac and Windows Servers including: Mpeg4 (mp4), 3G (3g, 3gpp), iPod (m4v), AIFF, FLC, mp3, au, Wave, DV Stream and any .MOV
  
• Detailed Quicktime Pro codec support - includes animation, Pixlet Video, VC H.263, Cinepak, Component Video, DV, H.264, Motion Jpeg, Mpeg-4, Sorenson Video/3, Video
  
• Third party support - 3rd Party Exporters and Codecs being added to the support list weekly. Current Windows Media support for OS X via Flip 4 Mac (.wmv, .wma), Flash Video (.flv), DV/DVCPRO, DVCPRO HD, DVCPRO50
  
• Granular settings control - Complete control over any compression settings, including frame rate, streaming settings, audio compression etc.

AV iKit for DeBabelizer:

• Apply any imaging workflow to your video during export - Not simply a transcoding engine, DeBabelizer Server gives you the ability to apply complete workflow operations to every frame of the video during compression, enabling branding, bugging, forensic watermarking, text and image compositing just to name a few of the possibilities. DeBabelizer Server applies workflows to the entire video to automatically prepare for any need. Turn workflow processing off for high volume simple transcoding and multiple streaming recompressions.

And specifically for MediaRich:

• Powerfully extend your in-house content management system - easily embed audio and video processing in content management and digital asset management systems; including on-demand zoom and pan from any video frames, proxy video creation, video thumbnailing to name a few possibilities.
  
• Automatically edit videos - MediaScript adds selective video editing to hot-folder processing or dynamically to web-pages. Perfect for IPTV, virtually any post production transcoding need, wireless clip generation, video/audio personalization, advertising insertion, programmable bug composite, automatic fade-in/fade out, final copyright frame prepend/append, inserting timecode and automatically cutting and editing frame lists.
  
• Scene selection and extraction - automatic scene selection for instant representative gif animation generation and ability to automatically export high definition video proofsheets to pdf template files or make still frame export selections.
  
• Complete high level MediaScript API - comes with ready-made high level calls to enable web designers or CMS engineers to hit the ground running. Our ready-to-go A/V iKit API extensions expose the automation power of MediaRich in a familiar ECMA Javascript environment for quickly creating dynamic audio/video processing applications.
  
• Control MediaRich Media Server with any API you want - .NET web service (C#, Visual Basic, J#, Perl etc.), COM, HTTP MRL (MediaRich Locator) or JAVA. MediaRich Media Server integrates virtually anywhere.
  
• Metadata support - enables instant metadata extraction and ingestion of Quicktime .mov, mpeg4, 3g, iPod, mp3, .aac and all other supported filetypes. This can be passed to a database in any form, including via xml, ODBC, text etc.
