* DataBasics supplies Cumulus Training in the following ways:

Onsite Installation/Training for 1, 2 or more days. Half Day and Remote Services are available on request.
Reseller/Integrator Canto Technical Certification and Sales training usually held once a year - TBA or contact us for more details.

Cumulus Onsite Installation/Training

The Onsite Installation/Training Services (see Canto pricelist) provided by DataBasics are designed to instruct the designated Cumulus Administrator and up to 5 Cumulus users on the installation, setting up and initial use of Cumulus in the workplace. Cumulus Upgrade users who require training need to contact us or their Reseller to discuss requirements.

PREREQUISITES

DataBasics will need details in writing of:

name & contact details of designated Cumulus Administrator
hardware platform/operating system for installation (server & clients
Cumulus edition and version, quantity/no. of clients, and any additional Options
number/names of people attending & any previous Cumulus or other database experience
outline of planned usage of Cumulus ie expectations
any special requirements.

ONSITE SERVICES PRODUCTS

Half Day and 1 Day Remote Services are available - please contact DataBasics.

OSIT1 Workgroup/Enterprise Administrator Installation/Training ONE Day - comprises

technical installation of the server & clients
Cumulus registration and license update
user administration and permissions setup
basic database and catalog preferences setup
maintenance and backup procedures.

OSITU1 Workgroup/Enterprise User Training ONE Day - comprises

getting to know Cumulus - definitions, functions and usage
instruction on cataloguing, organising, and searching for assets
using and customising Cumulus
maintenance and backup procedures.

OSIT2 Workgroup/Enterprise Administration Installation/Training 2 DAYS - comprises

all of the above for OSIT1 Administration
installation/training of additional components eg Web Publisher Pro or other Options.

OSITU2 Workgroup/Enterprise User Training 2 DAYS - comprises

all of the above for OSITU1 User Training
usage and customisation of additional components eg Web Publisher Pro or other Options.

OSIT5 Workgroup/Enterprise Admin/User Training - up to 5 DAYS - comprises a mix of implementation planning, installation, configuration, administration and user training as required.

Administration and User Training Manuals are supplied with the onsite training courses which are designed to complement the Canto Administration and Client User Guides that come with the software.

Note that all purchased training courses must be completed within 3 months from date of invoice. Administrators/ Users who cannot attend on the designated day(s) of training forfeit that time as installation/training will not be carried over to a future date. If this is necessary, then extra charges will apply. Relevant IT/computer services must also be prepared and available on the designated day(s) for software installation, as extra charges will apply for cancellations and re-bookings.

ONSITE SERVICES DISCLAIMER

For OSIT Server Admin products, DataBasics provides trainers who are Canto Cumulus Certified Integrators. For User Training, trainers have extensive knowledge of Cumulus and a training background.

It is the responsibility of the designated Cumulus Administrator to specify any particular requirements by email prior to the training event. Please refer to Prerequisites for details.

If nominated customer staff are not available on the date of the on-site service, any subsequent services that are required to address the needs of these staff will be charged additionally. Similarly if system resources are not prepared or available on the day, additional charges will be made for work done after the designated time.

A Training Day is 9.30-4.30 with a 45min. lunch break. If issues arise or are identified during the training event that cannot be addressed during the time available, DataBasics will obtain details and provide a Quotation for follow up.

If a technical issue arises with the Canto Cumulus software that cannot be addressed during the time available, DataBasics will attempt to resolve the issue, including referral to Canto if required.

UPGRADE TRAINING

* Onsite Installation/Training for those UPGRADING from previous versions of Cumulus is available on request. Email support@databasics.com.au to discuss your requirements or contact your Reseller.
