Ricky Patten, owner/director of DataBasics, is a business professional with over 30 years experience in information technologies working with clients, suppliers and partners in Australia, Asia, Europe and US. Ricky believes in building long-term profitable customer relationships and maintaining successful partnerships with our European suppliers, regional resellers, and business developers.
Ricky can sustain a clear level of technical understanding whilst retaining the ability to talk directly to people in their own language. The number of clients and our Platinum distributor status are indicators of the great success he has achieved.
From Operations Manager to ICT Manager, and more recently Transformation Program Director, Geoff has a track record in building and managing strategic relationships and networks at all levels.
As Services Manager at DataBasics, Geoff’s role is to design, create and maintain the company’s professional and technical services as well as focusing on determining and meeting customers’ needs. With a combination of IT, services and management skills, Geoff aims to promote high performance workplace and team cultures to ensure targets are met or exceeded, in quality, quantity and timing.
Lou has an interesting background from managing client relationships and facilitating meetings with key stakeholders at Hewlett Packard Enterprise Services, to issue/conflict resolution and staff rostering at Life without Barriers.
Lou enjoys the development of new processes and working towards a future state that will result in more efficient processes for both the customer and company. He is responsible for effective planning, delegating, coordinating, staffing, organising, and general office decision-making to build a robust structure into the future for DataBasics.
John’s responsibilities have included technical support and administration/user training intially, moving to management of the technical team, and engaging with clients on a daily basis to ensure the successful deployment of the DAM solution in the workplace.
John has over 20 years of professional industry experience in graphic design, illustration, computer system setup and management. He has extensive experience with web and information technologies. His experience with the management of multiple projects results in high proficiency at project implementations and overall project management
Erez has been with DataBasics for over 3 years and his role is technical consultant and product specialist providing DAM solution implementation and configuration from initial design to deployment.
Erez is an experienced hardware and software systems specialist with Systems Integration skills for a range of computer software, specifically Microsoft and SQL systems as well as software deployment and development solutions. Additionally, he has extensive Customer Service skills, with experience in the area of service desk and technical support for clients in a number of different environments.
Accounts / Administration
Sarah handles DataBasics administration and accounts. She has a background in reception and administration and brings a keen sense of customer service and the need for high level communications to the role.
John comes to DataBasics with extensive computer skills and network knowledge having worked as a system administrator, telecoms technician, and technical support officer in organisations such as James Cook University and more recently Ports North Cairns.
John is the frontline person for DataBasics CustomerCare centre and works with our technical team to provide first rate support for our many clients.
Antra is DataBasics marketing communications expert – a marketing professional with over 10 years marketing experience, an MBA degree in Marketing, and with a solid understanding of digital marketing strategies, web analysis, SEM and SEO. Antra has worked in different industries to provide marketing solutions and internet marketing strategy analysis.
Antra liaises with senior managers to build DataBasics social media presence, to assist with the creation of website content and marketing activities such as blog posts, webinars, surveys, and presentations.
Adam has an extensive background in all things electronic – from a background in electronic repairs, and fault finding down to component level, through to advanced game design, computer graphics, information technologies in general and content management systems. He is a full stack developer, coding websites of various designs and capabilities, and is an experienced programmer in C++, Java, and C# with .NET, as well VB applications.
Adam joins DataBasics as a technical developer for creating RoboFlow workflow solutions and custom-built DAM-related applications for our clients.
Michael spent much of his spare time working as a computer technician and providing tech support whilst studying for his Bachelor of Information Technology degree. He has since added a range of programming and coding skills to his repertoire.
Michael’s responsibilities at DataBasics include the customisation of digital asset management solutions and their integration with our clients’ infrastructure. He is involved in determining clients’ server level requirements and operational capabilities. He is currently working on the development of specific products to improve functionality in DataBasics DAM solutions.
Jack (Zihao) Huang is a recent graduate of JCU Cairns with a Bachelor of Information Technologies degree. During his study, he developed several assignment projects, including an Android quiz application using Java and PHP, also a unity game using C#. Jack’s interests include Android programming, networking and IT security.
Jack has joined DataBasics Flight customer support/ on-boarding team. He is responsible for setting up evaluation portals and answering Flight questions related to functionality and application.
